Career Resource Center Events

The Office of Internships and Experiential Learning is a core component of the Career Resource Center (CRC). Not only do we share the BizLink recruiting system, we equally encourage students to participate in employer-related events as a means to explore internship opportunities. The CRC works diligently each semester to provide students with a variety of informational and strategic events to bridge the gap between the world of work and the academic setting.

Tips for Navigating Events

  • At the beginning of each semester, check the CRC Job Fairs and Events calendar and mark event dates accordingly on your personal calendar.
  • Before each event, be prepared to introduce yourself effectively, network and ask relevant questions.
  • Present yourself as a solid candidate for future opportunities by wearing appropriate business attire instead of jeans.
  • Bring business cards in addition to résumés. Share your résumé at job fairs, but for other events, consider using only your card instead. Ask employer contacts for their business cards and make notes on the back of each that will help you with follow-up.
  • As appropriate, follow up with contacts through email and attach your résumé.
