Bloomberg Businessweek has ranked the UB School of Management's full-time MBA program as one of the nation's best. This ranking puts the school solidly in the top 10% of AACSB-accredited business schools.
The school fared exceptionally well in the learning component of the survey with a rank of No. 38 overall, besting such schools as Harvard, Duke and NYU.
The UB School of Management is the only school in the Buffalo Niagara region to make the Bloomberg Businessweek list.

Forbes magazine ranks the UB School of Management as one of the world's best business schools based on the return on investment it provides MBA graduates. The school's ranking of No. 49 places it solidly in the top 10% of graduate business programs accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Among public universities, the school's rank is No. 25.
Once again, the UB School of Management has been ranked a "Best Business School" by U.S. News & World Report in its annual ranking of MBA programs. The UB School of Management was ranked No. 60 out of 477 MBA programs surveyed, its highest place ever and the only school in the Buffalo Niagara region to be included in this ranking. Among public business schools, the School of Management is ranked No. 32. The school has risen 21 spots in the past four years. The MBA ranking is part of U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 ranking of “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”
U.S. News & World Report has also ranked the UB School of Management as one of the country’s "Best Undergraduate Business Programs" in the 2021 edition of “America’s Best Colleges.” The school was ranked No. 81, higher than any other business school in the State University of New York system, and higher than any other B-school in the Buffalo Niagara region. The ranking was culled from a list of more than 850 schools accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, positioning the school in the top 10% of accredited business programs.
In its last ranking (2007) of full-time MBA programs, the Wall Street Journal ranked the UB School of Management No. 9 in the nation among schools with strong regional recruiting bases. The WSJ ranked the UB School of Management as one of the world's best business schools for seven consecutive years. In addition, UB MBAs have been lauded in The Wall Street Journal rankings for their team skills and leadership potential.
MilitaryTimes has ranked the University at Buffalo School of Management as one of the best business schools in the country for military veterans.
The School of Management is No. 35 among 77 schools on the list. It’s the only school in the Buffalo Niagara region to make the list and is the highest ranked in the entire State University of New York system.
