Core Program

The CEL Core program enhances the talents and operating abilities of practicing entrepreneurs. This peer-based, mentor-driven program will empower you to overcome business challenges, create new opportunities and develop meaningful connections within the business community.

Advanced Core

This program is for you if you are a Core graduate who wishes to build a company that survives—and thrives. It will help you focus on business growth that is an outcome of clear strategic vision, honing in on your business’ authentic voice, building a reliable team to lead your vision forward and nurturing a customer base that is as passionate about your business as you are.

Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs Program

The Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs program creates opportunities for individuals leading minority-owned and women-owned enterprises into advanced stages of development.

High-Tech CEL

For current owners of early-stage technology and life science companies, High-Tech CEL offers the opportunity to learn from established entrepreneurs, business experts and industry insiders, such as angel investors and venture capitalists. The CEL partners with UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences to offer entrepreneurial and industry-specific guest speakers, workshops and classes.

The Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition

The Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition was created by the UB School of Management and the UB Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach. Funded with a $1 million endowment from the late Henry A. Panasci Jr., the program is designed to bring undergraduate and graduate-level students from science, technology, business and other disciplines together to maximize their potential to create viable businesses in Western New York.

Key Persons Leadership Development Program

Every organization has expectations of its “key people.” Dynamic leadership can directly impact a number of measurable metrics, such as quality, revenue, profitability, bench strength and market share. Participants in this program are taught as individuals striving to reach organizational goals while taking into account their unique strengths. The program is designed for the emerging leaders in your organization and is open to both CEL and non-CEL companies.

Becoming a Leader in Life Sciences

An innovative curriculum tailored to meet the professional development needs for those seeking careers and career advancement in the emerging life sciences industry.

Family Business

In addition to the standard entrepreneurial toolbox, family businesses often need help managing the unique challenges that arise when family members work together. Leadership development, generational perspectives and succession planning are a specific focus of our programs. The CEL also offers competency workshops specific to family business enterprises.
