Why the UB PMBA Program?
Take a look at our S-T-A-T-S.

Structure

PMBA students progress through the program together in a "cohort," or learning community. In addition, each year you will be assigned to a study team—a diverse group of classmates with whom you will study, write group papers and develop group presentations. The cohort team combination solidifies professional contacts that will serve you well throughout your career.

Time

Classes are scheduled just two evenings per week. During the fall and spring semesters, classes meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 9:10 p.m. Summer classes are scheduled two evenings per week running from mid-May to the end of June, from 6:30 - 9:40 p.m. The PMBA program can be completed in as little as 28 months from start to finish, or as long as five years if necessary. You will be able to quickly put your new knowledge to work and gain access to positions of greater responsibility—and salary—in your organization.

Assets

We purchase your books, give you a university e-mail account, handle your parking permit and register you for classes. Our focus is on customer service, so all you need to think about is your academic work. With the exception of one day for orientation, the PMBA program does not meet during regular work hours. This design allows participants to focus on their careers and earn a degree without having to make compromises for either.

Technology

Faculty who teach in the PMBA program use the Web extensively to make teaching materials readily available to students, no matter where they might be working or studying on a given day. Technology is an integral part of the PMBA's team-learning philosophy because it gives students a convenient channel for peer communication and collaboration. In the Jacobs Management Center, our classrooms are networked to be completely wireless, so you may bring your laptop or notebook computer to class.

Success

The PMBA Program provides academic theory and practical application, creating a foundation for situational leadership designed to boost personal and professional success.
