International applicants - Duolingo (DET)

In response to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Chinese government has temporarily closed TOEFL, IELTS and PTE testing sites.

To accommodate affected students, UB will temporarily accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) for the purposes of meeting English language proficiency requirements for admission to all UB degree programs for fall 2022. The DET is fully online and is not impacted by the closure of test sites.
