Advancing research, teaching and outreach in leadership is a key theme in the School of Management. Through our curriculum and a number of innovative programs, we build upon our ongoing commitment to develop leaders at all levels of an organization and to prepare the next generation of business leaders.
School of Management students can take advantage of our burgeoning entrepreneurship ecosystem through initiatives like the Entrepreneurship Lab (eLab) course and the Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as UB’s Blackstone LaunchPad powered by TechStars and collaborations across the Buffalo Niagara region. In addition, area entrepreneurs hone their skills through a variety of programs offered by our Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
With the health care industry facing steep challenges in cost, efficiency and access, the School of Management offers a robust and growing portfolio of programs and partnerships that prepare leaders with the business skills needed to manage complex health care organizations, reduce expenses and improve outcomes.
All around us, organizations in the private, public, nonprofit and government sectors are coming together to tackle some of society's greatest challenges through social innovation—and the School of Management is helping to lead the way. We’ve embarked on several truly interdisciplinary partnerships within UB and our global community to make an impact through student service, faculty research, conferences, workshops and other collaborative opportunities.
School of Management students become citizens of the world, developing the skills and perspective to meet the demands of the international business market and make the world a better place. Our experiences abroad prepare students to lead in an increasingly global world through a variety of faculty-led, short-term programs in Africa, Asia, Central America, Europe and North America.
