Human Resources Management Concentration

Companies rely on the knowledge, skills and abilities of their workforce to function and succeed. Students who study the human resources management concentration will learn how to ensure the human resource goal of attracting, developing and maintaining a competitive workforce for a small business or large organization. The learning to be derived from the concentration will be of interest and relevance to anyone with supervisory and management ambitions, as well as to those contemplating entering the HR field.

Curriculum Plan

Academic performance in the freshman and sophomore courses is the main criterion for admission to the upper-division in the School of Management. In the first two years, students complete the university writing requirements, general education courses and seven prerequisite courses for the major.

Students not ready for calculus are advised to complete pre-calculus before attempting MTH 131.
