Financial Analysis Concentration

The Department of Finance and Managerial Economics in the UB School of Management offers programs that cover a broad array of subjects, including corporate finance, investment management, international finance, financial institutions and financial modeling.

Our undergraduate concentration in Financial Analysis is designed to prepare students for careers in areas of quantitative finance and decision making. Classroom knowledge can be complemented with an internship to gain experience in these fields.

Curriculum Plan

Academic performance in the freshman and sophomore courses is the main criterion for admission to the upper-division in the School of Management. In the first two years, students complete the university writing requirements, general education courses and seven prerequisite courses for the major.

Students not ready for calculus are advised to complete pre-calculus before attempting MTH 131.
