China is an increasingly important participant in global economic affairs. Since January 2002, the School of Management has sponsored an annual trip to China as an elective element of our MBA International Business Environment course. Students gain insights into the history, culture and business environment of China and other regions in the course and then have the opportunity to see the situation “on the ground” during the trip. Our students have visited the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, HSBC Bank, Unicom, Rich Products, Unifrax, Technomics Asia, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, Volkswagen, Huawei and Keen’s. The latest trip included corporate and cultural visits in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Here's what you should do if you are interested in this opportunity:
Watch MBA students talk about their experience on the China trip.
Past MBA China trips have been partially subsidized by funding from the Rand Foundation and HSBC Bank.
