The School of Management and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SoPPS) jointly offer a five year program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)/Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The dual degree program reduces by one year the usual pattern of a four-year PharmD program and a two-year MBA program.
Each candidate must meet all degree requirements of each school, except for the reduction in total credit hours. Students wishing to pursue the dual degree program should provide separate applications and be admitted to SoPPS. Application to both schools may be simultaneous, or currently admitted students may opt for the dual degree program during the first professional year of their respective program. Admission will be limited to students who have demonstrated superior capabilities. Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average after completion of the first professional pharmacy year to be officially considered for the program. Application information for the MBA program may be obtained online at the School of Management website.
