MArchitecture/MBA Dual Degree Program

The establishment of a successful architectural office requires a wide range of skills. In addition to competence in traditional architectural roles, the growing complexity of the field demands certain managerial, administrative skills. As a practice expands, its range of services may grow to include, for example, real estate development and construction supervision of large scale projects. The MArch/MBA Dual Degree Program provides the combination of architectural, managerial, and administrative skills which prepares students for careers in both fields. It integrates and accelerates the educational process and enables students to pursue careers in public service administration as well. 

Students interested in the program must apply to and be accepted by both the Department of Architecture and the School of Management.

MBA Portion of Program

PREREQUISITE

Completion of one semester of college level calculus with a "B" grade or better or completion of two semesters of calculus with at least "C" grades.

Four of ten MBA electives are waived in the dual program; therefore, in addition to the twelve required courses, MArch/MBA students must take six 3-credit electives, one being a credit bearing internship. Students should consult the graduate handbook for information on concentrations available in the program and necessary prerequisites.
