Q
What is the GMAT and do I have to take it?

A

All PMBA program applicants are required to take the GMAT exam as part of the application process, without exception. The GMAT is a computerized test that is offered worldwide and is a proven measure of a student's potential for success in the MBA program.
Test scores must be sent to the University at Buffalo School of Management directly from the testing agency. The test is offered year-round and can be taken at a time that is convenient for you. Keep in mind that appointments to take the GMAT may be more difficult to schedule as the application deadline approaches.

To make an appointment to take the GMAT or for more information visit www.mba.com.

Q
Will I need a computer?
A
You will need regular access to a computer. If you do not currently have access, we can provide you with guidelines for purchasing a computer. Many of your courses in the PMBA program will require familiarity with word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.Return to top

Q
Can I take a concentration of courses in one discipline as part of the PMBA program?

A

The PMBA program is designed as a general MBA program. However, if you have flexibility in your work hours, you may substitute electives offered during the day for those that are chosen by the class as part of your program. Most students decide to pursue general knowledge in a variety of business disciplines rather than specialize. Contact the PMBA office if you have questions on a specific area of concentrations.
