BACHELOR OF SCIENCE PROGRAM IN SINGAPORE

BS Singapore

The University at Buffalo (UB) and the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) are collaborating on a new Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration (with concentrations in International Business and Marketing). The first group of students began their studies in June 2004.

Upon completion of this three year program of study, participants will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the UB School of Management.

SIM and UB have an excellent and longstanding relationship. In partnership with SIM, the UB School of Management established the first U.S.-accredited Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program in Singapore in March 1996. The extension of SIM's collaboration with UB to offer a bachelor's program will enable more students, both from Singapore and the surrounding region, to benefit from the U.S.-style curriculum.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is designed to prepare students for managerial roles in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. The curriculum emphasizes a broad exposure to mathematics and the social sciences as well as an in-depth study of business management. A unique feature of the SIM-UB curriculum is the incorporation of Asian business case studies to analyze problems, solutions and strategies common to the Asian business environment.

Academic oversight of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration will be the responsibility of the UB School of Management. The school's undergraduate program is ranked No. 62 by U.S. News and World Report , among more than 1,200 programs nationwide. UB's program is ranked higher than any other undergraduate business program in the State University of New York system. The Gourman Report , published by Princeton Review, ranks the school's undergraduate business program 24th in the country.
