Meet the Development Team

 

Stephen J. Ebsary

Senior Director of Development

Stephen returned to the University at Buffalo after 12 years in financial services, including 10 years as a financial advisor with Citigroup Global Markets (Smith Barney). In his previous roles at UB, Ebsary served as director of development for the School of Medicine and as director of planned giving for UB’s central development office, where he initiated the university’s first planned giving program.

As senior director of development, Ebsary is responsible for leading a comprehensive program of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects and donors to ensure private support for the School of Management.

 

Jill Sessa

Associate Director of Development

After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University at Buffalo, Jill has been involved in and owned several fitness and retail businesses. A native of Long Island who has become a strong believer in the Western New York community, she has served as a volunteer for organizations such as the Burchfield Penney Art Center and “I Live NY” and is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo and an inaugural participant in the Oishei 20.

Jill works to connect alumni and supporters to the School of Management in meaningful win-win relationships. Working on the dean's important priorities for the school, one particular focus is the 1000campaign on behalf of the Department of Accounting and Law. She spends much of her time travelling to meet with interested folks, so please let her know if you would care for a visit.

Beth Ranney

Development Associate

Beth is a graduate of Medaille College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in media communications. She has held directorship positions in public relations, marketing and development in the health, human services and educational sectors. At the School of Management, Beth coordinates the annual fund solicitation and stewardship programs, manages scholarship and award gifts, and maintains communication with alumni, friends and donors.
