Making the Transition to the University at Buffalo (UB): Resources to Help You
While taking advantage of the vast resources offered by a large research university, UB students can experience a sense of community within UB and the School of Management by engaging in the many opportunities and utilizing appropriate resources.
Learning Community
What is unique about your schedule is that you are part of a learning community.
- First-year students are registered in advance into a learning community, a block of appropriate courses along with other first-year students with similar academic interests and backgrounds
- Each learning community consists of approximately 25 students with similar interests
- Learning community registration not only eliminates the worry of scheduling your first semester courses, but it also helps you to form study groups and to get to know some of your School of Management peers
