  • MyVisaJobs.com (Recommended)

    • Identify companies who have petitioned for H1B visas by geographic region, functional area and more.  Use this site to create a targeted list of companies or to identify if the company you are applying to hires international talent.  Contains job postings for international candidates.
  • Going Global (Recommended)

    • Access country-specific career and employment information including world-wide internship and job postings, H1B employer listings, corporate profiles, and career resources for 30 countries. To access Going Global, you will need to follow the steps below:
      • Log on to UB Career Services Bullseye 
      • Click on My Documents and Resources
      • Click on the tab for Resources (Create a Resume, FOCUS, Research Employers)
      • Click on Going Global

  • International Career Consortium Binder - A useful collection of resources especially for International Students. This guide contains information on Visa issues, Frequently Asked Questions, Conducting a Job Search in the U.S. and more! Look for the dark red narrow binder on the CRC bookshelf.
  • It’s Easy to Hire An International Student brochure (available in the CRC).
  • Peterson's Internships - This book is cross-indexed to allow you to search for companies that hire international students as interns.
  • International Trade Council World Market Directory
  • The CRC Video Collection includes two excellent videos for International Students:
    • Returning Home: Think Success - This video is geared to students who plan to return to their home countries after graduation from U.S. universities and colleges. It focuses on self-assessment, job searches and cultural factors impacting your return and managing expectations.
    • The Employment Interview: American Style - This video focuses on how the American employment interview may differ from interviews in other countries. It demonstrates how to address visa issues during the interview. The purpose of this video is to enhance, rather than replace, the CRC Interviewing Workshop and Practice Interview.
