Workforce Management Concentration

This is intended as a second, or add-on concentration . If you feel like you are already prepared to manage, whatever your chosen area (accounting, marketing, finance, etc.), don’t take this concentration. But if you would like to build your skills and make yourself effective in leading others, take this concentration along with your main functional concentration.

Concentration Requirements

FIRST YEAR

  • Fall Semester
    • MBA Core 12 credits
    • MGE 601 Economics for Managers
  • Spring Semester
    • MBA Core 12 credits
    • MGA 609 Management Accounting or MGB 666


SECOND YEAR

  • Fall semester
    • MGI 601 Principles of Workforce Engagement (3)
    • WM Elective*
    • Electives and/or internship – 9 credits
  • Spring semester
    • MGI 602 Advanced Topics in Workforce Management (3)
    • WM Elective*
    • MGA 609 Management Accounting (if not taken in first year)
    • Electives – 6-9 credits

MGB 666 Leadership Pace (3) (by application only – spring first year only)
