Annual Report Highlights

This is the third annual report for research in the School of Management. The intellectual output by our faculty is described in more detail in other sections of the report. Even a quick examination of some of the highlights of the year below indicates that our faculty continue to be deeply involved in creating new knowledge and innovative ideas about management.

44 articles were published by School of Management faculty in professional and scientific journals during the year. This is an increase of over 20 percent compared to last year.

Nallan Suresh, chair of the Department of Operations Management and Strategy received the UB Distinguished Professor Award.

The university recognized the scholarly achievements through book publishing of the following School of Management faculty:

Fred Dansereau, Department of Organization and Human Resources, “Multi-level issues in organizations and time.”
 
Jerry Newman, Department of Organization and Human Resources, My Secret Life on the McJob: Lessons in leadership.

Raj Sharman, Rajiv Kishore and Ram Ramesh, Department of Management Science and Systems, Ontologies: A Handbook of Principles, Concepts and Applications in Information Systems.

The School of Management faculty served on the editorial review boards of close to 40 professional and scientific journals during the year.
