Global Services and Supply Management

Through this initiative, faculty and students concentrate their research on globally dispersed information, service, logistics and supply networks.

School of Management faculty focus on the management of IT-enabled business processes and globally distributed supply networks. In doing so, the school is capitalizing on its longstanding strengths and history, internally within the two academic areas of operations management and strategy and management science and systems; and externally, through companies, cultures and business practices adopted from throughout the world.

This initiative spearheads new research programs and educational opportunities. It addresses developing innovative business strategies and the creation of unique customer value propositions through global networks. These networks comprise worldwide, IT-enabled manufacturing and service operations, and supply chain and logistics systems. Of special interest and focus are the alignment of the information capital of a firm with its business processes for productivity and growth.
