Department of Organization and Human Resources

The Department of Organization and Human Resources in the UB School of Management focuses on workforce management, consulting and organizational behavior and administration.

An undergraduate concentration in Human Resources Management is designed to prepare students for careers in human resources management and industrial relations. Classroom knowledge can be complemented with an internship to gain experience in these fields.

MBA students can customize their academic programs by choosing either the Workforce Management option or Management Consulting option, both offered through our department. The Workforce Management option introduces students to a variety of “people” problems and solutions. The Management Consulting option builds both internal (acting as a consultant to your own company) and external consulting skills, especially in diagnosing problems, building client relationships, developing workable solutions and monitoring the effectiveness of change.

The School of Management is taking leadership development to a new level by launching LeaderCoreTM.  LeaderCORE gives MBA students the opportunity to study and navigate real-world business situations while developing a set of clearly identified management competencies that differentiate student accomplishments and lead to effective performance in the workplace.  Learn more about LeaderCORE.
