As a School of Management accounting student, you can pursue a variety of award and scholarship opportunities to help fund your education.

School of Management opportunities

Undergraduate

  • Accounting and Law Undergraduate Fund, for a qualified senior majoring in accounting.
  • Eddy Lin Memorial Award, for a senior majoring in accounting whose GPA is 3.2 or better, and who is focusing on a career with a mid-size public accounting firm. The recipient must actively mentor others and demonstrate a passion for learning and a caring and fun attitude.
  • Lisa Friedman Memorial Award, for a female graduating senior majoring in accounting, who is highly regarded by her peers for her career potential and integrity.
  • Arthur and Louise Wasserman Scholarship, for a School of Management student, with preference to applicants of Jewish heritage from Western New York.

MS Accounting

  • Accounting and Law Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship for highly qualified UB accounting undergraduate students to pursue the School of Management’s MS in Accounting degree.
  • Gloria and Oscar Goldstein Memorial Fellowship, for School of Management MS Accounting students who have financial need and graduated from a public high school in New York City. Preference goes to students from households with one or no parents.
  • Judith and Allan Felong Trinkwald Endowed Fellowship, a competitive fellowship for a School of Management MS Accounting student based on merit and financial need.
  • Keith M. Stolzenburg Fellowship, for a School of Management MS Accounting student who is in good academic standing with a GPA in the top half of their class and understands the importance of giving back to the community, with demonstrated participation in a significant community service effort. The recipient must display high ethical standards, integrity and leadership.
  • Victor and Joan Brown MS Accounting Fellowship, for School of Management MS Accounting students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need, and intend to work in or for the benefit of the United States.
  • Kathleen M. Hamm, BS ’85, Accounting Fellowship, for a School of Management MS Accounting student who is a member of a historically underrepresented community or marginalized group within the accounting profession, including women. Preference goes to students who are the first generation in their family to attend college, as well as students who demonstrate interest or focus their work on emerging technology and data analytics in accounting.
  • KPMG Accounting Excellence Fellowship, for School of Management MS Accounting students who are in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need and an interest in public accounting. Preference goes to minority students or students from underrepresented communities.
  • Accounting Advisory Council Fellowship, for School of Management MS Accounting students who demonstrate financial need and are in good academic standing. Strong consideration will be given to minority students and students from underrepresented communities.
  • Paul W. Sweet Memorial Health Care Finance Student Financial Assistance Fund, for a School of Management graduate student, with preference to those studying or working in health care or finance and actively planning to work toward their CPA.
