Presented annually by the Accounting and Law Department, the Sufrin lectureship brings to campus speakers with distinguished achievement in the fields of accounting, finance, financial economics or financial management.
Typically, the speaker presents to UB faculty, staff and students, and other regional professionals, followed by a question and answer period.
The lectureship is funded through a generous contribution by Dr. Gerald Sufrin, professor and chair of the Department of Urology in the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Leslie Sufrin, founder of Leslie Sufrin & Co., a division of Weiser LLP. The lectureship is named in memory of their parents.
