Gary Pacer is a manager of application development for the University at Buffalo. In that role, he is responsible for the management and direction of activities related to the development of administrative application software for the University community. With over 30 years experience in the information technology field, he has managed projects of various scopes and sizes. He has been on the ground floor of his area’s development of a Project Management Office and the roll-out of project management concepts and techniques. He achieved the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional certification in 2001 and is currently a member of PMI and their Information Systems Special Interest Group.
