Offered by the UB School of Management, the Internal Revenue Service and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, the Tax Practitioner Institute updates those who prepare federal and state tax returns on current taxation issues.

Presentations from the IRS and State Department of Taxation and Finance are scheduled throughout the day. All necessary course materials will be provided upon your arrival.

Continuing Education Credit

CPE: The Institute on Taxation is authorized by the State Board of Accountancy to be a sponsor of continuing education programs for New York State certified public accountants and/or public accountants under Section 7409 of the Education Law and Section 70.6 of the Commissioner's Regulations under Sponsor ID #001414. Full attendance at the institute will earn 8 CPE credits for participants.

Enrolled Agents: Earn 3 CE in Federal Tax and 1 CE in Ethics. The Institute on Taxation has been accepted as meeting requirements of the Treasury Department Circular #230 as a sponsor of qualifying programs for those individuals enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

CLU: This institute satisfies requirements for PACE credit. Participants can earn one (1) credit hour for each 50 minutes of the program attended.
