The Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (Panasci TEC) was created by the University at Buffalo School of Management and the UB Office of Science, Technology Transfer and Economic Outreach and is funded with a $1 million endowment from the late Henry A. Panasci Jr. to facilitate and promote the commercialization of UB-generated technologies. It is designed to bring graduate-level students from science and technology disciplines together with MBA students to maximize their business and scientific potential to create viable businesses in Western New York. 

The university primarily seeks participants whose innovative ideas are in the technology, life sciences and engineering industries. Due to the unique nature of these industries, we anticipate that the participants’ concepts will be at the earliest stages of development, yet embrace sound technologies and innovations. 

This year's winning team will receive $25,000 in seed funding as well as more than $10,000 in legal, accounting and human resource sevices and office space. The second-place team will receive $10,000 in seed funding.
