Accepted Non-Matriculated Students

After you've been accepted to take non-matriculated courses, what's next?

Find your UB Person Number (student ID number) and UBITName by logging into your application and checking the status tab (typically two days after acceptance). Your person number will be required on many forms at UB.

To be completed upon application acceptance

  • Review the Student Health Services website and complete the required immunizations forms. Returning UB students must call Heath Services at 716-829-3316 to verify your records are in compliance. You will not be registered until these are complete.
  • Activate your email account
    • New UB students will receive an email with directions to obtain their UB Person Number, UBITName, a one-time use password and directions to claim their account.
    • Returning students must contact UBIT to have their account reactivated.

We will notify you via email when your registration is complete.

To be completed after registration

  • UB ID cards: Every student must obtain a UB ID card. You may obtain your card online or in person at the UB Card Office, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Parking permits: You do not need a parking permit for evening classes, as the parking lots are open to anyone after 3 p.m. However, you may find there are times you want or need to be on campus during the regular business day. We suggest that every student request a parking permit. You can only order a your permit online. When you fill out the form, request to pick up the permit at North Campus.
  • Delivery/pick-up of ID cards and parking permits: Order both before January 23 and notify the PMBA office by email at mgt-pmba@buffalo.edu — they will be available for you to pick up with your textbooks and course materials on the first night of classes.
  • Orientation will conducted online. We will send you information via email in early January.
  • All international students are required to have adequate, university-approved medical insurance, regardless of registered number of credits.  If you have medical insurance, please complete the waiver at the link below.  If you do not have medical coverage, you will be required to purchase the university -provided plan for the duration of your time as a student.  You will find an explanation of the plan at the link.  Please be sure to read the information for International Students. https://subboard.com/insurance/
