Steinitz is an adjunct instructor of economics for the School of Management. He has been teaching economics for more than 30 years and has presented at numerous national and regional conferences on the use of technology in higher education and the assessment of student performance outcomes in distance education. Steinitz co-authored and was project co-director for a multimillion-dollar Department of Education Title III grant to computerize and redesign the admission process. He also was project director for a National Science Foundation grant for curriculum development. Steinitz has received several awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
