Cameron MacLeod

MBA ’21

Cameron is a second-year MBA student in the UB School of Management. He grew up in Clarence, New York, and graduated from Clarence High School in 2012. Cameron was interested in the energy industry and graduated with a degree in petroleum engineering from Penn State University in 2016. After graduation, Cameron moved out to Wyoming to work as a field service engineer for Halliburton Energy Services.

After spending two and a half years in oil fields from North Dakota to West Texas, he made the decision to move back home to pursue an MBA.

Last summer Cameron interned at M&T Bank in their Summer Executive Associate Program, and he plans on joining the bank full-time after graduation. He will be working in the Enterprise Profitability Department. During his second year in the program, Cameron will be focusing on analytics-related courses while continuing to develop management competencies through the MBA LeaderCOREā„¢ program.

I want to tailor my own MBA experience through the concentrations UB offers. I have a strong interest in banking and computer science, so I was interested in the finance and analytics concentrations. Once I looked into the courses offered in these areas, I was hooked.
