Abid is from Chittagong, Bangladesh, and came to UB in 2014 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the School of Management.
Abid worked as a cash management analyst with Fiserv and, in parallel, worked to build a technology startup called ColdSpace. Enter the idea to pursue an MBA, as his interests lie in the startup community, consulting in information technology and project/product management.
Ultimately he decided to come back to UB to pursue an MBA because of the support system, mentorship and guidance he received over the years from the faculty and staff at UB.
Recently, Abid worked as a consultant in the UB Social Impact Fellow program. His team worked with a startup to build out their social impact dashboard and conduct an assessment of their project in Tanzania.

[Helping the startup in Tanzania] was probably one of the most rewarding experiences thus far to help an organization hands-on with the knowledge and skills I have gained from the MBA program.
