Q&A

Why did you decide to get your MBA?

After working for four years in the auditing and banking industry, a UB MBA will give me the skills I need to ascend to a leadership role. I aspire to work in the field of women’s empowerment—to provide other women with opportunities to grow and succeed like I’ve been able to.

The entire program has been a transformative experience. You get to learn more about yourself, mold yourself with the challenging curriculum and strive closer to your career goals.

Why the UB MBA program?

As a finance student, I found that the MBA program at UB has the perfect balance in terms of risk and return.

What has been the most valuable course, advice, experience or professor in the School of Management?

For me, the most valuable experience was during our orientation when we were told that the two years ahead would be an investment to build our personal brand, with the mentors and professors in place to help us to be what we want to be.

Can you offer any advice to other international students who are considering an MBA degree from the School of Management?

Take full advantage out of MBA program and immerse yourself in the abundant opportunities the program provides. There is so much more you can add to your classes and to your team through your personal experience.

As an MBA student, I think each student has a different experience in the program—it all depends on how proactive you are in taking advantage of opportunities to build strong personal connections.

What are your plans after graduation? Do you plan to work in the same industry?

Yes, I do plan to stay in the U.S. and continue to work in the same industry after graduation, but I would like to take some time off and travel. Also, I look forward to actively working towards the empowerment of women.
