Human Resources Management Concentration

If you are interested in attracting, retaining, developing and/or assessing people this may be the concentration for you.

During your studies you will develop the skills necessary to make you a successful human resource professional.  The courses will provide you with theory and case studies as well as real-life learning experiences.   

Additionally, you can expand your experiences in human resources through clubs, internships and our award-winning LeaderCORE™ program.

Concentration Requirements

First Year

  • Fall Semester
    • MBA Core - 15 credits
  • Spring Semester
    • MBA Core - 10 credits
    • Electives and/or MGB 666 if admitted - 3 - 6 credits

Second Year

  • Fall semester
    • MGI 601 Principles of Workforce Engagement - 3 credits
    • WM Elective* - 3 credits
    • Electives and/or internship – 9 credits
  • Spring semester
    • MGO 642 - Integration of Business Functions - 1 credit
    • MGO 644 - Business Practice - 1 credit
    • MGI 602 Advanced Topics in Workforce Management - 3 credits
    • Human Resources Elective* - 3 credits
    • Electives – 6-9 credits
