Overview
The School of Management's
Project Management Certificate Program offers participants the
chance to learn current, effective techniques in meeting the challenges
that face Project Managers.
Project
Management Certificate Program participants will gain an understanding
of the competencies involved in successfully planning and managing a
project. The course will include instruction and practical exercises
involving the management of project attributes such as scope, time,
cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, procurement and
integration.

Objectives
By
the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Generate project requirements and criteria for evaluating
project success
Create a work breakdown structure with specifications
Design a project schedule with activities, durations and
interdependencies
Delineate, assign and track project resources and associated
costs
Identify and quantify project risk and develop mitigation
strategies
Understand different contract types and their impact on
a project
Identify, capture and analyze metrics used in controlling
a project
Understand the leadership competencies of successful project
managers
Understand how to build successful project teams or deal
with issues affecting their performance

Should Attend
Project managers and project team members who
are interested in gaining a better understanding of Project Management
and methods for improving the quality of their environments. Novice
managers in the field will greatly benefit from this program.

will be used to further reinforce these concepts for participants.
