Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition

Judging

A panel of judges will be chosen from several different business and industry areas to evaluate the business plans and presentations. This panel will include individuals with research, business development and technology backgrounds. Team will be advised of finalist status the week of April 7, 2008.

Judges will use a three-part guide for their ranking and ratings. Part I (valued at 40%) is designed to help assess the written business plan focusing on key elements and the effectiveness of summary financial data. Judges will evaluate all written business plans in advance of the competition.

Part II of the Scorecard (20%) assesses the poise and professionalism of the presentation. Part III of the Scorecard (40%) evaluates the perceived viability of the venture. In summary, the weightings which serve as the basis of this competition are as follows:

Part I: 40% - Written Business Plan
Part II: 20% - Verbal Presentation
Part III: 40% - Business Viability


At the end of the final presentations, the judges will rank the finalists.
