MBA: Finding Your Focus

It is important you have a direction or focus throughout your MBA plan. If you are unsure of your concentration or the type of position you would like upon graduation then join this active workshop to help you move forward with finding your focus. Discuss and develop your action plan using MBA blueprint to help you decide the business focus for your MBA program, internship and job search.

Concentration Meetings

Meeting with others who share your interests can help you move closer to your career goals. Join your CRC advisor along with other MBA students in the same concentration area for informal discussions. Topics may include jobs, internships, typical responsibilities, hiring trends, industries, ways to get noticed, resources, options within the concentration, internship and job focus, and how to leverage your experience.

Advanced Interviewing Skills

A job interview is a critical stage of the hiring process. Preparing for a variety of interview situations and knowing what to expect is essential to success. Practice advanced interviewing skills and learn to communicate your qualifications and experience effectively. Whether you have limited work experience or are an experienced candidate, it is important to fine tune your skills. (Note: you will get more out of the session if you bring your resume to the session the CRC’s Interview Guide.)
