Watch for Deadlines...Register Early! 

Following are descriptions of some of the most prominent recruiting events that UB students are eligible to attend. Read the descriptions carefully to determine your eligibility in terms of degree required, country work authorizations, etc.

You may register for most of the events free on the web; however, you will be responsible for any necessary travel arrangements. Many events require you to register up to 6 months or more ahead of time, so observe the deadlines and register early!

• School of Management Club Fair Recommended

  • Get involved. Consider becoming a student leader. Come meet the School of Management clubs, see which club(s) you should join and meet current members.  Club involvement is a great résumé builder

• Meet the Professionals Night Recommended

  • Monday, September 14, 6 - 9 p.m.
  • UB Center for Tomorrow, North Campus
  • This student-organized and hosted event brings professionals from accounting and internal audit fields. Accounting and internal audit students are strongly encouraged to attend. The event is open to all students

  • Only open to UB School of Management students and graduates. The Frank L. Ciminelli Family Career Resource Center (CRC) at the University at Buffalo School of Management invites you to our Annual Management Career Fair. Attend this event to identify potential internship or full time job opportunities, or even to make connections with professionals who can help you make career decisions

• National Black MBA Association Conference and Career Fair

• Coffee Cup Conversations New

  • Tuesday, September 29, 6 -7 p.m.
  • 205 Alfiero Center, North Campus
  • This inter-active weekly program invites guest speakers from a variety of professional backgrounds to come and share their expertise on topics that include: exploring unique career path opportunities within the field of Management, tips and strategies to succeeding in the workplace and how to find the right fit and land the ideal internship or job. Don’t miss out this opportunity to meet professionals who will share their expertise and experiences within the world of management. The program is designed to provide students with the ability to gain insight on different career paths available within a changing business arena, as well as, the opportunity to network with fellow upper-level business students, working professionals, and UB alumnus in the field.

• APICS International Conference and Expo

  • Recommended for anyone interested in supply chain or operations management 

  • October 4-6

  • Toronto, Canada

  • Become an APICS member first, then register before July 31 or with colleagues to save big on registration. APICS members, students, academics, and more receive special registration rates. Attend educational sessions, plant tours, network with exhibitors, and visit the center for services such as résumé critiques, networking sessions, and on-site job searching

• National Society of Hispanic MBAs Conference and Career Expo

  • October 8 - 10
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • The National Society of Hispanic MBAs sponsors this job fair and interview event during their annual conference in late September or early October. While the event targets Hispanics exclusively, participation is open to both members and non-members of the NSH. Also open to undergraduates 

• UB Tech Fair

  • Wednesday, October 14, 3 - 6:30 p.m.
  • UB Alumni Arena, Main Gym, North Campus
  • This event is a MUST for School of Management students choosing the Information Assurance and Management Information Systems options. All School of Management students are encouraged to attend. Don’t miss this event! UB Tech hosts recruiters seeking full-time, co-op and internship opportunities in a wide variety of disciplines including: Computer Science, Engineering, Physical and Life Sciences and many others. Last year, more than 1,000 UB students and alumni attended

•  2009 Net Impact North American Conference & Career Expo 

  • November 13-14

• "Network New York"

  • Monday, January 4
  • Time: 6-9:30 p.m
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers, 300 Madison Avenue, on the corner of Madison and 42nd street, New York, New York
  • The Frank L. Ciminelli Family Career Resource Center and the School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA) co-host this student/alumni networking event in New York City each January.  Since it's inception, Network New York has consistently received rave reviews from both students and alumni. Space is limited, student registration will be required

• JOBSapalooza  - Buffalo, Long Island, Rochester

  • Tuesday, January 5, 4 - 7p.m. for opportunities in Western New York
  • Buffalo Convention Center, Buffalo, New York
  • Jobsapalooza is a state-wide job and internship fair. Visit the fair closest to you to meet recruiters from companies in that particular area 

• Career Conversations in New York City

February 2010

• "Network Buffalo"

  • Thursday, February 11, 5:30 p.m. 
  • UB Center for the Arts, North Campus
  • This is an excellent networking opportunity, but not a recruiting event
  • The UB School of Management Frank L. Ciminelli Family Career Resource Center (CRC) is collaborating with the SOM Alumni Association to provide networking opportunities for students and SOM alumni in the Western New York area. Space is limited, student registration will be required. 

March 2010

• UB CareerFEST - The All Majors Job and Internship Fair

  • Date and Time: To be announced 
  • UB Alumni Arena, Main Gym, UB North Campus
  • The job fair for all majors 
  • It is open to all UB students, including business majors at the undergraduate and masters levels. Register on-site for free, dress professionally, and bring plenty of résumés. Click on the link above to see which employers attended last year's event

• Human Services Career Fair

• R.I.S.E. X Global Investment Forum

  • March 18-20
  • University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio 
  • You are invited to experience a part of Wall Street, live and in person, at the University of Dayton and United Nations Global Compact R.I.S.E. (_R_edefining _I_nvestment _S_trategy_E_ducation) X Forum. This will be the tenth year for this first-of-its-kind, completely interactive event between leading students, faculty and Wall Street professionals.

• Upstate Business Career Alliance Career Fair

  • The Upstate Business Career Alliance is a collaboration of the largest business schools in Upstate New York offering you an opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate business students who wish to remain in Upstate New York to meet companies who are hiring.
