Building the team culture of the UB MBA program starts with the Teambuilding Sessions during the August MBA Advantage orientation program with a carefully sequenced roster of community-building and problem-solving activities. Alumni facilitators provide a valuable corporate connection and application to processing discussions. Planning for this event starts in the spring. Salute to Summer-Cruise on the Miss Buffalo Alumni Social /

The School of Management Alumni Association will sponsor a cruise on the Miss Buffalo -- "A Salute to Summer". This represents a great opportunity for you to put together your own group of friends or classmates for an evening of camaraderie while cruising the Buffalo waterfront ... or simply come by yourself ( members and their spouse or guest both come at the reduced members rate) and network with others in attendance. Draft beer, wine, soft drinks and a wide array finger food, including pizza and wings are included in the registration price.

Annual Awards Banquet Alumni Networking November 2008
Our most visible event featuring presentation of the Niagara Frontier Executive of the Year Award. Last year's honoree was Louis P. Ciminelli, Chairman and CEO of LPCiminelli Inc. The banquet will be held at the Millennium Airport Hotel Buffalo at 2040 Walden Avenue. Over 300 business executives in attendance.

Alumni ambassadors assist the MBA recruitment staff during the fall semester at graduate fairs and MBA fairs. A list of events can be found at our web site. Alumni ambassadors also help in follow-up with prospective students via telephone and e-mail. This typically begins in the late fall and goes through the spring.
