If you are not a member, join now to be eligible for the rewards program. Each quarter, the School of Management Alumni Association contacts alumni via email, inviting them to take part in the drawings for select rewards. The Member Rewards program includes the following rewards: Education Grants for All AlumniAs a member of the School of Management Alumni Association, you may apply for a tuition grant with a minimum award of $500 for yourself or for a member of your immediate family. This grant can be applied toward any University at Buffalo educational program (credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing) from any UB academic unit (Management, Law, Engineering, Arts and Sciences, etc.). The 2011 program deadline for application submission is July 1, 2011; awards are made in August. If you are interested in learning more, please contact the School of Management Alumni Association by email, providing your email address and telephone number. Additional information and a short application will be sent to you. All submissions are evaluated and scored by a panel of School of Management Alumni Association board members. [PDF] Grants to Not-For-Profit Organizations for All Alumni (drawing)As a member of the School of Management Alumni Association, a $100 donation in your honor will be made to a not-for-profit organization where you serve on the board of directors. If you wish to compete for one of the available grants, simply send an email explaining in 250 words or less why your chosen organization deserves this grant. Include in your statement the name of the organization, the name of its president or executive director, its full address, employer identification number (EIN) and telephone number, as well as your role with the organization. To be eligible for these grants the organization must be a 501(c) (3) organization. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of School of Management Alumni Association board members and a random drawing is then held from qualified submissions. Click here for the 2011 winners. Grants for Professional Development/Continuing Education for All Alumni (drawing)For personal and professional enrichment, the School of Management Alumni Association will award two grants of up to $250 each for members to pursue continuing education, professional development or other similar programs. If you wish to compete for one of these grants, simply send an email explaining in 250 words or less what the program is (be specific and include the fee or charge) and why you wish to enroll. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of School of Management Alumni Association board members and a random drawing is then held from qualified submissions. Travel Grants to Return to Campus for Global Alumni Members (drawing)The School of Management Alumni Association will award two grants of up to $250 each for travel and lodging to return to Buffalo to either attend a UB Bulls football game in the School of Management’s box in the university stadium or for another event. Two complimentary game tickets are included. Game dates are to be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the UB Bulls football schedule. If you wish to apply for one of these grants, simply send an email explaining in 250 words or less why you wish to return to Buffalo to attend a UB football game. All submissions are reviewed by a panel of School of Management Alumni Association board members and a random drawing is then held from qualified submissions. This grant is primarily intended for alumni residing outside the Western New York area. Click here for the 2011 winners. Entertainment Grants for an “Among Friends Dinner” for Global Alumni Members (drawing)The School of Management Alumni Association will provide funding of up to $250 per event for a member to host an “Among Friends Dinner”. This grant should be used to bring together School of Management alumni from a common geographic area to share opportunities and camaraderie. If you wish to receive funding to host an “Among Friends Dinner,” simply send an email explaining in 250 words or less your interest. Please include the city or town in which you wish to hold the dinner and whether you would like to hold it at a restaurant or in your home. All submissions are reviewed by a panel of School of Management Alumni Association board members and a random drawing is then held from qualified submissions.
