In May, Arjang Assad, dean of the School of Management, hosted a thank you reception in the Alfiero Center for alumni and friends.

The flash mob that broke out during the reception paid tribute to the School of Management's nearly 34,000 alumni located across the world who have helped advance the school's mission in myriad ways this past academic year—whether by recruiting students or offering summer internships; bringing alumni around the world together through the Global Alumni Network Night and other events; mentoring UB management students over the telephone and via Skype and at events like Network New York; attending admissions and recruitment events to help UB attract the best and brightest students; and making generous financial donations to the school.

The “mob” included members of the LehrerDance company (led by UB alumnus Jon Lehrer) as well as students from the School of Management.
