The School of Management recognizes the powerful effect that partnering with another organization can have on the creation, continuity and impact of community outreach activities.
If you are a business or agency interested in collaborating with the School of Management on a community-based project or initiative, contact Cynthia Shore, senior assistant dean, Alumni & External Relations, at 716-645-3226.
Some examples of successful School of Management community-based collaborations include:
In partnership with M&T Bank, the UB School of Management is reaching out to Western New York high schools to bring MoneySKILL, a FREE, interactive, online personal finance curriculum developed specifically for high school students.
In collaboration with the New York State Society of CPAs, the School of Management is introducing minority high school students to career opportunities in the accounting profession during a special five-day program. This program features a comprehensive series of breakout sessions designed to provide participants with insights into all the components of an accounting education and career.
The School of Management is helping community agencies reduce costs, extend their reach and eliminate inconsistencies in the delivery of training and education programs by using digital video technology. This free service is available through the School of Management’s partnership with the Not For Profit Resource Center, an initiative of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
